Singapore's Food Supply

We have found out that food in Singapore comes from many countries. We import food to supply Singapore's needs.

Where do we get our food from?

Most of the food found in the supermarket is not from Singapore.
Singapore get its food supply from many countries.

Take a look  in your kitchen or at the supermarket.
Observe a few types of food  such as
  • vegetables
  • fruits
  • canned food
  • dairy products
  • rice
  • meat
  • seafood. 
Look at the food labels and record where the food originated from.
Examples:
                                          Vegetables from Malaysia
                                          Canned tuna from Thailand
                                         Canned condensed milk from Indonesia
